Privacy Policy

Reporili (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates an online tool athttps://reporili.tech that analyzes source code you provide (via ZIP upload or GitHub repository URL) and generates draft legal documents using automated analysis and artificial intelligence.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Reporili. It applies to visitors and users of the public website and document-generation service. We do not offer user accounts or registration at this time.

2. Information we process

2.1 Content you submit

  • ZIP archives you upload (may contain source code, configuration, comments, and other project files).
  • GitHub repository URLs you submit. If the repository is public, or accessible with credentials configured on our server, we download a snapshot archive via the GitHub API for analysis. We do not use GitHub OAuth or ask you to sign in to GitHub through Reporili.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit this content (see ourTerms of Service).

2.2 Derived analysis data

To generate documents, we scan submitted content in memory and produce a technical summary (for example: detected frameworks, integrations, file paths, and pattern categories such as authentication or payments). This summary is sent to our AI provider (see Section 4).

2.3 Technical and log data

When you use the service, our infrastructure may automatically record:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of request
  • Browser type and User-Agent
  • Request metadata (for example, URLs accessed, HTTP status)

These are collected for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and troubleshooting.

2.4 Optional browser storage (your device)

If you enable “Save generations”, prior results may be stored in your browser’slocalStorage on your device only. We do not receive or store this history on our servers.

3. What we do not collect

  • We do not require account registration, passwords, or profile information.
  • We do not operate a user database for Reporili at this time.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on the website (as of the date above).

4. How we use information

We use submitted content and derived summaries solely to:

  • Analyze your project and detect relevant technical patterns;
  • Generate draft Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Disclaimer text;
  • Operate, secure, and improve the service;
  • Prevent abuse (including zip bombs, excessive requests, and malicious uploads).

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on performance of the service you request, legitimate interests in security and abuse prevention, and compliance with law.

5. Subprocessors and international transfers

5.1 Google (Gemini API)

We use Google’s Generative AI API (Gemini) to produce draft document text. Atechnical summary derived from your submitted code (not your full repository) is transmitted to Google for processing.

  • Google privacy policy:https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Google Cloud terms (as applicable):https://cloud.google.com/terms

Google may process data in the United States and other countries. By using Reporili, you acknowledge this transfer.

5.2 GitHub

If you provide a GitHub URL, we request repository archives from GitHub, Inc.subject to GitHub’s terms and privacy policy:GitHub Privacy Statement.

5.3 Hosting

The service runs on infrastructure we control. Server logs may be retained for a limited period for security.

6. Retention

DataRetention
Uploaded ZIP / downloaded repo contentProcessed in server memory only for the duration of your request. We do not intentionally persist raw archives or source files on disk or in a database after the request completes.
Generated documents in API responseReturned to your browser; not stored on our servers by default.
Document history (localStorage)Stored on your device only, if you opt in.
Server logs (IP, User-Agent, etc.)Retained for up to 90 days unless a longer period is required for security investigations or legal compliance.

Ephemeral memory processing does not guarantee that all traces are instantly erased from every system layer (for example, log backups). We do not maintain a user content archive.

7. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, upload size limits, zip-slip protections, rate limiting, and network isolation between public-facing and application layers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, and to data portability.

Because we do not store submitted source code after processing, limiting further processing typically means not submitting new content and clearing document history in your browser (localStorage) if you enabled it. If applicable law grants you additional rights regarding data we may hold (such as server logs), you may exercise those rights through any contact channel we publish on https://reporili.tech when available.

9. Children

Reporili is not directed at children under 16 (or 13 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

10. Beta service

Reporili is in Beta. Features and data practices may change. We will update this policy when material changes occur.

11. Changes

We may revise this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
